Mark’s hands fell under the nimble body and slowly lifted her from the car. Of course Teddy had fallen asleep on the long ride home, Mark didn’t blame her. People were swarming in and out of the ER today, even he could barely keep his eyes open. && his hands, god his hands hurt from surgery after surgery. Letting her snake her hands around his neck he kicked the door shut. Unable to fight the smile surfacing across his face. After Lexie… this all seemed like a dream that was impossible to happen. That he would ever love someone again. That it was even possible. But Teddy had proved him wrong, and he couldn’t help but scream it loud and proud. Well, she was sleeping so he only whispered it in a hushed tone as he gently laid her down on the bed. Pushing the covers over her and kissing her forehead as the four simple words were uttered. “I love you, Teddy.” Mark was about to get up when she shifted slowly muttering the new few words that made his heart jump. “I love you too.” A grin overtaking him until she added one word at the end that almost crushed his beating heart. “Henry.” Biting down on his tongue as his gaze drew to the ground. I love you Henry.
Unable to even look at her with sorrow, Mark had slept on the couch only to wake up earlier for work. Getting out the door and to work before she even opened her eyes. Not only that but Mark had avoided her all day… until now. Running into the blonde, he was quick to form an excuse to get away without even making eye contact.
“I h a v e surgery now, can’t talk.” Blatantly lying, seeing as Mark had been off call for about an hour and was just headed out.

Mark, Derek, and Addison all live in New York. Derek is married to Addison in what people think is a ‘happy’ relationship but really Mark is screwing his best friends wife behind his back.
This is the main, canon verse set up until the plane crash leading to his death.
These are set during the days Mark as the ‘surge.‘

Lexie Grey’s death is still canon but Mark Sloan pulls off a miracle, now having to find the broken pieces of his life that were scattered.
Addison never had Mark’s baby aborted and they build a family together with their daughter Ella.
Despite the percussions it would bring to the bromance of Mark and Derek, Mark continues to pursue his little sister Amelia Shepherd.
Although Addison did abort Mark’s baby and leave him to go fight for Derek one last time, the two end up getting back together down the line.
