Knees trembling, eyes glazed with fresh, fearful tears, she stumbled from the alleyway. A limp shaped her labored movements as she struggled with a broken shoe, pulling her coat tight up to her throat. It wasn’t a long walk on two unhindered legs, but in this state, it seemed like an endless march. Her heart was pounding painfully in her chest, her mouth arid as the desert at high noon as she hurried along. Her long auburn hair hung down into her face, concealing the pain from passersby, but at this hour, there weren’t many to be had. None, in fact. Addison wasn’t sure if she was thankful or upset about that. She wasn’t sure of anything. Nothing, except that she’d escaped with her life, and she wanted to keep it that way.
Finally, with a firm grip on the handrail, she pulled herself up the stairs of the familiar stoop. She buzzed his loft once, twice, and a third time, frantically searching for a reply. Desperate for the automatic ‘click’ that would grant her entry to the foyer. Addison had a key, but it’d been lost with the rest of her things, somewhere in the streets of New York City. It didn’t occur to her that it was nearly three in the morning, nor that he wasn’t expecting her. It was only when the door opened and he appeared that she began to feel the full magnitude of what had just happened, the adrenaline momentarily waning at the sight of him.
“M-M-Mark,” she stammered, looking up at him through disheveled tresses, hoping he couldn’t see what a mess she probably was. Hoping he wouldn’t ask questions. Fighting to gain composure though her lip was quivering and her stomach felt sick. “P-Please, can I come in…? I don’t–I can’t… Don’t call Derek.”
It had already been an u n u s u a l night for Mark Sloan, he had
struck out at his earlier slander down at the nearest bar and
was sleeping along for the night. So hearing someone buzz
for his apartment made him the slightest bit curious, wondering
maybe he hadn’t struck out. Quickly slipping on his shirt and
pants, stepping down the stairs with a soft click of his feet. A
CHARMING yet devious smile peaking at the corner of his lips.
His demeanor edged with egotistical natures.
❝A-Addison…❞ But all that f a d e d into an abyss when he not
only saw who it was… but saw what was done to them. For a
moment he just stood there, completely frozen except for his
eyes frantically scanning her BROKEN features. He was a
plastic surgeon, this shouldn’t bother him, he should take this like any
other woman walking through his door. But this wasn’t just any
other woman. This was Addison Montgomery. This was the
woman he… this was Derek’s wife.
Pushing the door open wider he nodded inwards.❝What the
HELL happened to y o u?❞ It was a rhetorical question really.
He didn’t expect her to answer unless she wanted to, unless
she n e e d e d to. But he had to get it out, because so
many thoughts were rambling through his head. Pressing the palm of his hand to her shoulder he began to lead her up to the loft.
Mark, Derek, and Addison all live in New York. Derek is married to Addison in what people think is a ‘happy’ relationship but really Mark is screwing his best friends wife behind his back.

My name is Alex, I'm 18, and this is a side-blog to Derek-Shephxrd. I began playing Mark a while ago but finally deciding to make this account for him. I'm always open for plotting so feel free to jump into my ask or tag me in a starter if I follow you on my Derek. I have skype for anyone that wants to talk or plot. Oh yeah and gave me all the Maddison and Slexie. I'm also probably the biggest crackshipper.
