Amelia winced as he dabbed at her wound, trying not to appear in as much pain as she felt. How could he not be good enough? How was she supposed to believe that after all she had done – and all she had let him do? Mark would never understand. Not unless she told him everything, and they were words she could barely fathom let alone speak aloud. A part of her wanted to defend him, to say he wasn’t a bad guy, but they both knew he was. The only thing was she was just as bad a girl.

Brushing another strain of her out of her face, Mark gently pulled down her head to press a soft kiss to her forehead. Running his fingers along her cheek and pulling back at her question.
“It’ll go down a little but not all the way so you’re going to need to have a good lie set in. Not too well though, lucky for you though charming and making people forget the actual question they were asking is my speciality.” Flashing her a small smile.
Mark, Derek, and Addison all live in New York. Derek is married to Addison in what people think is a ‘happy’ relationship but really Mark is screwing his best friends wife behind his back.
